Chris Cahill is in his first year as the Volunteer Assistant Coach on Karen Hoppa[apos]s staff. A graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he was a defender from 2004-06, this is his second year as part of the Auburn staff as he was a graduate assistant for the 2009 season.

Currently assisting in all facets of the soccer program, including the team[apos]s social media outlet off the field and coaching on the field, he spent two years (2008-09) as the assistant men[apos]s varsity soccer coach at Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Ga., before coming to Auburn.

At Harrison, Cahill implemented practice and game plans, assisted in the coaching and conditioning of student-athletes and oversaw the camp staff and the development of camp curriculum. Harrison was ranked No. 1 in the country from 12 weeks during the 2008 season, winning the 2008 Regional Championship, and again repeating that in 2009. Nine of the players were named All-County and six accepted Division I scholarships as the team went 28-4, 17-1 in Region play.

Cahill holds a National Diploma from NSCAA (USSF [quote]C[quote] Equivalent) and is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
