Education: Received his bachelor’s degree in communications from Purdue in 2016. Received his M.Ed. in higher education administration from Auburn University in 2018.
Job responsibilities: As Assistant AD of Digital Revenue Strategy, Schoen will oversee all email and digital marketing efforts in addition to social media and website strategy as well as digital marketing support for Playfly sports, RevelXP, and other partners of Auburn Athletics. He will also be involved in ticketing strategy and revenue generation strategy for the athletic department.
Past experience: Schoen came to Auburn from the University of Colorado where he was the Director of Marketing and Fan Experience for the last two years (July 2021 – August 2023). He oversaw digital marketing as well as marketing for the football and men’s basketball program. Previously, he was an Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Experience for the University of Oklahoma (April 2018 - July 2021) overseeing all marketing efforts for volleyball, women’s baseball and baseball. Schoen spent two years as a marketing graduate assistant at Auburn (July 2016 – April 2018) where he was the primary contact for volleyball, swimming & diving, and men’s and women’s tennis and the secondary contact for men’s basketball and softball. He began his career as a marketing intern for Purdue Athletics in 2015. He's won four NACMA "Best Of" Awards as well as runner-up for Marketing Team of the Year with Auburn in 2018.
Personal: A native of South Bend, Indiana, Schoen is an avid swimmer, hiker and reader.
