Daquan Baker joined the Auburn football staff in December 2025. He currently serves as an assistant strength & conditioning coach.

Prior to joining the Tigers, Baker spent the 2025 season in a similar role with NC State.

Before joining the Wolfpack, Baker spent a year as the assistant director of performance at UNC, where he oversaw programming for the offensive and defensive line.

From 2023-2024, Baker served as an assistant strength & conditioning coach at West Virginia University, assisting the football program with the design and implementation of Smartabase, recovery modalities, and speed development.

Prior to his time at WVU, Baker worked on the strength and conditioning staff at Georgia Southern in 2022, worked a stint as an intern at Tennessee and completed a 10-week internship at Texas State.  

Before transitioning into collegiate strength and conditioning, Baker was part of Jon "Bones" Jones' heavyweight training camp. Additionally, he worked at multiple high-performance facilities, including Zia Strength Systems, 8 Gradys Performance Facility, and the Duke City Cages.

A former student-athlete at New Mexico, Baker graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in business administration. As a member of the Lobos football team, he set team records in the squat, deadlift, and bench press.

Baker is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) who also holds certifications as a Functional Range Conditioning Movement Specialist (FRCms) and in Westside Barbell methods.

A native of Inglewood, Cal., Baker is a proud father to his son, Malkai.
