Education: Dr. Chelsi Battle earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Georgia State University in May 2017. She earned her Master’s degree in 2020 and her Ph.D. in 2023, both in Counseling Psychology from Auburn University. Dr. Battle also completed a doctoral internship at Northwestern University from 2022-2023. She is currently working toward AL licensure and Certified Mental Performance Consultant® certification.
Job Responsibilities: Chelsi takes a relational and collaborative approach to assisting student-athletes with clinical mental health concerns. She provides individual services and team consultation, consults with athletic department staff on student-athlete mental health needs, and develops psychoeducational and outreach programming.
Past Experience: Chelsi returns to Auburn after completing her internship at Northwestern University. There she provided individual and group services to students, primarily servicing first generation college students and students with marginalized identities. She also served as a member of the Care and Coordination Team where she consulted with Student Affairs to promote comprehensive care, student success, and well-being. Prior to internship, Chelsi worked as a graduate assistant for Auburn athletics and served on committees for The Association of Applied Sport Psychology and APA Division 47: The Society for Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology.
Personal: A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Chelsi enjoys attending sporting events, traveling, spending time with friends, family and her Yorkipoo, Marlee.
