Garrett Siemek was named director of softball operations on June 27, 2024, by co-head coaches Chris & Kate Maleveaux.
Siemek joins the Tigers after serving as the director of operations for Duke softball for the previous two seasons, helping the Blue Devils reach the 2024 Women's College World Series for the first time in program history. Siemek will oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the team, including travel, meals, recruiting and working alongside the external team to promote Auburn softball.
Prior to Duke, Siemek served as the director of operations for Lafayatte's baseball program. In his role at Lafayette, Siemek oversaw all of the day-to-day responsibilities of the team, including travel, meals, recruiting and social media.
Prior to his time with Lafayette, Siemek spent three years at the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) in Pittsburgh, Pa. Over his stint with the NCBA, Siemek worked in several roles, including as the director of baseball team development for all three years. In addition, Siemek served as the director of Division III operations for his first year, before moving up to Division II in a similar role for the remaining two years.
Siemek began his career as the director of baseball operations and assistant general manager for the Baltimore Redbirds, a collegiate summer league baseball team in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League in Baltimore, Md. Siemek handled scheduling, scoring, team travel and various day-to-day responsibilities of the team.
A 2017 graduate of the University of South Carolina in sport and entertainment management, Siemek was a club baseball player and coach in his four years in Columbia. Siemek was tasked with several responsibilities including coordinating team travel, on-campus recruiting and field set up.
