Haley Rainey returns to Auburn softball for the 2026 season, joining the staff as a graduate manager.
Rainey transferred to the Plains in 2025, finishing her collegiate career in an Auburn uniform. She made 40 appearances for the Tigers last season, earning seven victories and save while finishing second on the team with 60 strikeouts.
The Ada, Washington, native spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons at Cal State Fullerton where she was a two-time All-Big West selection and the 2024 Big West Pitcher of the Year. In her two seasons with the Titans, Rainey earned 28 wins behind a 1.62 ERA. She struck out 246 batters over her two seasons at Fullerton.
She began her collegiate career at Idaho State. She earned 2022 Big Sky Freshman of the Year honors as well as being named to the 2022 All-Big Sky Second Team. Rainey earned 14 wins and ranked fifth in the Big Sky with a 3.46 ERA.
Rainey will complete her undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in psychology in August before pursuing her graduate studies.
