At Auburn, Holmes works closely with the Tigers' jumps and multi-event athletes. Within multis, she is responsible for hurdles, long jump and assists with programming. Holmes has coached the likes of Dontavious Hill, Natosha Jordan and Alex Spyridonidis, a trio that has a combined for numerous All-SEC and All-American honors as well as three SEC Championship medals and the No. 2 marks in the Auburn record book for men's decathlon and both men's and women's heptathlon.
Holmes is certified in strength and conditioning through the USTFCCCA and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS). She is integral in the programming of all the jump and multi-event athletes. Currently, Holmes is a PhD candidate in applied sport and injury biomechanics while simultaneously collaborating with Auburn's athletic training staff on athlete return to play protocols.
Holmes graduated from Cornell University in 2016 with a degree in human biology, health and society while also earning a minor in the field of applied exercise science. Holmes went on to earn her Master of Science in human performance from the University of Florida in 2017.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Holmes was a team captain and multis performer on Cornell's track & field team. She not only ranks No. 6 on the Big Red's all-time long jump list and No. 3 on its pentathlon list but was also a member of the 2013 Ivy League Outdoor Heptagonal Championship team. Prior to arriving on The Plains, Holmes coached horizontal jumps at Phillips Exeter Academy and was a volunteer horizonal jumps coach at the University of New Hampshire.
A native of Exeter, New Hampshire, Holmes is a third-generation coach following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather. She currently lives in Auburn with her dog, Champ.
