Education: Nese completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University in 2018. She went on to complete her dietetic internship at Lipscomb University in May of 2019. She quickly transitioned to her Graduate Assistant position at Auburn University and will be starting classes this fall toward a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science.
Job Responsibilities: Nese serves as the lead dietitian for the men's golf, women's golf, men’s and women’s cross country and track & field, and equestrian as well as assisting with football. She works on both an individualized and a team basis to ensure players reach their nutrition goals, and fuel properly on and off the field. Her services include managing team fueling stations, body composition testing, hydration testing, nutrition counseling, team talks, meal planning, grocery store tours, and more.
Past Experience: Nese worked as a sports nutrition intern for the Penn State athletics department from 2016-2018, assisting primarily with football and track & field. While at Penn State, Nese also worked with the performance enhancement staff as a strength and conditioning intern for men’s soccer, men’s volleyball and track & field. During her dietetic internship, she completed a 12-week rotation with the Lipscomb University athletics department where she was the lead nutritionist for women’s soccer, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s basketball, and softball.
