Keith Herston is in his second season with the Auburn program, assisting mainly with coaching javelin throwers while also aiding in other aspects of the team. Herston is currently pursuing a Master[apos]s degree in exercise science at Auburn.
Herston graduated from the University of Alabama in 2007 with a Bachelor[apos]s degree in human environmental studies, majoring in health studies. At UA, Herston was a member of the track and field program where he competed in the horizontal jumps and was named to the SEC Honor Roll.
Prior to his time at Alabama, Herston was the assistant coach for sprints and jumps under head coach Jason Marshall at Bevill State Community College in Hamilton, Ala. During his one year there, Herston coached seven Indoor National Coaches All-Americans and eight Outdoor National Coaches All-Americans, leading their team to a 10th-place finish at the NJCAA Outdoor Nationals. Herston is USATF Level I Coaching Certified.
