Ken Potosnak enters his first season at Auburn under head coachJeff Lebo with 20 years of Div. I coaching experience, including threeyears in the SEC.

Potosnak[apos]s coaching duties also include recruiting and scoutingfor the Tigers.

Potosnak came to Auburn after serving as an assistant basketballcoach at South Carolina for three years under coach Dave Odom from2005-08. He helped recruit one of the top 20 classes in the countryfeaturing future All-SEC first team selection Devan Downey.

Prior to South Carolina, Potosnak was an assistant coach atFurman for eight years from 1997-2005 where he recruited future Auburnstar Quan Prowell, who was the 2005 Southern Conference Freshman of theYear at Furman.

Not only has Potosnak had success recruiting in the Southeast,he has concentrated efforts internationally where he recruited Brazilianguard Guilherme Da Luz, French forward Karim Souchu and Senegaleseforward Malaye Ndoye, who were All-SoCon selections at Furman.

Potosnak served as an assistant at The Citadel for five yearsfrom 1992-97 after beginning his coaching career as a graduate assistantat Wake Forest for two seasons from 1990-92. Wake Forest madeconsecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament with teams that featured futureNBA stars Randolph Childress, Rodney Rogers, Chris King and AnthonyTucker.

The New Kensington, Pa., native has experience as a clinic andcamp coach both domestically and internationally. He has been a player,counselor and coach at the Five-Star Basketball Camp and has been tocamps internationally in Spain, Greece, Turkey and China.

The 41-year-old Potosnak is a 1990 graduate of Randolph-MaconCollege in Ashland, Va., where he helped lead the Yellow Jackets to apair of top 25 finishes in 1989 (No. 22) and 1990 (No. 14). As a seniorguard in 1990, he was named Randolph-Macon[apos]s Scholar Athlete of theYear. He earned a master[apos]s degree from Wake Forest in 1992.
