Michala Kucharova comes into her first season as the graduate assistant with Auburn women’s tennis.

“We are very fortunate to have Michala with us as a graduate assistant,” said Auburn head coach Lauren Spencer. “Her college and international playing experience give her a great deal of knowledge that she can provide to our players. She is one of the hardest working players we have had and her positive energy is contagious.”

Kucharova most recently served as the student assistant during the 2015-16 season in which the Tigers set program records for single season wins, SEC wins and posted their highest finish in the final SEC rankings. Auburn women’s tennis finished the season 24-8 (9-4) and advanced to the Round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history.

As a player at Auburn, Kucharova was 50-19 (34-12 SEC) in doubles. Kucharova and Reka Muller finished the 2014 season ranked No. 66 in the final Oracle/ITA doubles rankings after compiling a 15-3 (3-1 SEC) record.
