Began at Auburn: May 2019

Education: Smith graduated from the University of North Alabama in 2019 with a bachelor's in Culinary, Nutritution, and Hospitlaity Mangement with a minor in Interior Architecture. He continued school at Auburn University where he completed his master's in Higher Education Adminsitration (2021). Smith continues his education working on his PhD in Higher Education and graduate certificate in Workforce Development and Training (2025). 

Job Responsibilities: Smith is the graduate assistant for Athletics HR where he assist the HR Team with a wide range of projects such as: employee engagement, timekeeping, orientation for both full-time and student workers/GAs, managing job updates to both social media and the Athletics website. He also aids in administrative duties for the local Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Chapter .

Past Experience: Smith began his career at Auburn University during 2019 where he worked as the Graduate Assistant for First Year Experince, working specifcally with Camp War Eagle (CWE) and Successfuly Orienting Students (SOS). After completing his master's, Smith moved on to teaching and coaching within the Harbert College of Business as a Graduate Career Coach and Instructor for BUSI 1010 & 2010 professional development courses. Since August 2023, Smith has worked within the Auburn Athletics department as the graduate assistant. While at Auburn, Smith has served on numerous university committies such as: University Scholarships, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, the Auburn University SACSCOC On-Site Review process. In addition, Smith serves as a Social Media Ambassador for the Office of Communications and Marketing. 

Personal: Smith grew up in Decatur, Alabama with a passion for anything competition. His love for both cheerleading and compeittion cheerleading was his guiding force behind attending Auburn University. Nic was also a member of the Auburn University Cheerleading Team from 2020-2023.
