Education: Wellbaum received his bachelor's degree in international business from Auburn University in 1993.

Job Responsibilities: Wellbaum is currently responsible for overseeing and managing Auburn Athletics fundraising efforts and major gift staff.

Past Experience: Wellbaum, with more than two decades of development experience, led fundraising efforts for Auburn's Samuel Ginn College of Engineering prior to moving to Auburn's Office of Development. In the central development office, Wellbaum served as senior associate vice president; interim vice president for development and president of the Auburn University Foundation. Wellbaum's responsibilities included planning and managing Auburn's $1-billion Because This is Auburn -- A Campaign for Auburn University. Prior to working at Auburn, Wellbaum served in development for the Scottish Rite Children's Medical Center Foundation, now Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Personal: From Englewood, Fla., Wellbaum is married to the former Christine Sandberg of Snellville, Ga., and they have three daughters Hannah, Maddie and Lilli.
