Rodney Hill is in his first season as an assistant coach for Auburn women's basketball. He joined the Auburn staff on April 16, 2025.
Hill served as an assistant coach at Texas A&M, his alma mater, from 2023-25. In his first season at A&M, he helped lead the Aggies to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2021. The Aggies also showed a 10-win improvement from the previous season.
Hill came to Texas A&M after one year as an assistant at TCU. Prior to that, he was the head coach for SA Finest, leading his 17U team to a national title in 2021.
He was on staff at Lamar for the 2019-20 season as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Prior to that, he spent the 2017-19 seasons in the high school ranks at Bishop Lynch High School. His first full-time collegiate coaching job came during the 2016-17 season at Texas State.
Hill also has WNBA experience as he served as assistant director of operations for the Dallas Wings for the 2016 season. He also spent a year at TCU as video coordinator in 2015-16 and was a graduate assistant at Urbana University in 2014-15.
He is a graduate of Texas A&M, earning his bachelor’s degree in sociology in 2014.
