R.T. Luczak begins his second season as a part of the Auburn volleyball staff. His duties include overseeing the volleyball team[apos]s camps, scouting of future opponents and recruiting while focusing on Auburn[apos]s defense and passing during practice and games.
The hiring reunites Luczak with Farina as he had previously served as a volunteer assistant coach while Farina guided the Marquette volleyball squad from 2000-2002. Prior to his stint with the Golden Eagles, he was a graduate assistant coach at Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1999.
Since leaving Marquette, Luczak guided the Kokoro Volleyball Club in Milwaukee, Wis., acting as director and head coach of the 16-1 team from 2002 until accepting his post at Auburn. While with Kokoro, he guided the team to a fourth-place finish at the 2004 USAV Open National Tournament. He also led the 2002 Allstar Sportswear team to a fourth-place finish in the same tournament.
Luczak earned his bachelor[apos]s degree in psychology from Macalester College in 1999 and his master[apos]s of science in counseling from UWM in 2003.
Luczak is married to the former Tari Boutin and the couple resides in Auburn.
