Began at Auburn: October 2019

Education: Shirey received her bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in business from Auburn University in 2014. 

Job Responsibilities: Shirey is the primary communications contact for the Auburn softball and volleyball teams. 

Past Experience: Shirey returned to Auburn after serving as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Mississippi State University for over two years, where she was the primary contact for the Bulldog softball program and a secondary contact for the football team. Prior to her stint at Mississippi State, Shirey spent a year as a communications director at James Madison University. She served as the primary contact for softball, swimming and diving and volleyball, highlighting two Colonial Athletic Association championship runs. She also served as the secondary contact for JMU football during its 2016 FCS National Championship season. Shirey also served as a communications associate at UAB, handling softball, indoor and beach volleyball and women's soccer, and had a stint at the University of Louisiana at Monroe as a graduate assistant. Shirey began her career as an undergraduate assistant in the sports information department at Auburn University. 

Personal: A native of Sylvania, Ala., Shirey lives in Auburn with her son, Keelan, and two golden retrievers, Hudson and Dansby.
