Education: Jaekel earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the University of Nevada in 2025 and a master’s degree in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership from the University of Washington in 2026.

Job Responsibilities: As Assistant Director of Communications, Jaekel serves as the primary media contact for Auburn Volleyball and Swim & Dive.

Experience: Prior to joining Auburn, Jaekel served as a Communications Associate with UAB Athletics from 2025–26, where he was the primary media contact for volleyball, bowling, and softball and the secondary contact for men’s basketball. From 2022–25, he served as a Strategic Communications Assistant with Nevada Athletics, working as the primary media contact for softball, men’s tennis, and women’s tennis after previously serving as the secondary contact for volleyball.

Personal: A native of Tracy, California.
