Education: Smith received his bachelor's degree from Jacksonville State University in 1989.

Job Responsibilities: Smith is the Academic Counselor for men's and women's track and field, men's and women's cross country, and women's basketball.

Past Experience: Smith was previously a Prevention Specialist at East Alabama Mental Health, a special programs director for Palm Beach County Schools and a Director of Operations for Associated Marine Institute.

Personal: A native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Smith has a wife named Tammy who is a native of Opelika, Ala. They have two sons, Torrey and Taylor.
