Zach Springer joined the Auburn athletic department in March of 2012. Today, Springer serves as the Senior Associate AD of Business Affairs. In his role, he is responsible for managing and planning all financial operations of the department as well as providing oversight to human resources and information technology. Additionally, he also serves as the secondary sport administrator for the football program. Prior to his appointment, Springer served the department as an Assistant AD – Finance and prior to that as a staff accountant. In those roles, Springer was charged with varying assignments such as supervising the daily operations of the athletic business office, managing the annual budgeting process, and managing the annual NCAA Agreed Upon Procedures.
 
Prior to his return to Auburn in 2012, Springer worked in the financial institution industry as an internal auditor. Springer began his career in athletics working as a student and part-time employee in Auburn’s Athletic Facility and Operations Department. In 2006, Springer earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Auburn University.  
 
A native of Lexington, Alabama, Springer is married to Auburn alum Liz (Norton) and has two sons, Tripp and John Everett.
