Tiger Paws FAQ
The Tiger Paws are the offical dance team for Auburn Athletics. There are 20 members on the team. They cheer and dance on the sidelines at all home Auburn football games, perform at SGA pep rallies, perform at all men's and women's home basketball games, and perform at select Auburn volleyball, soccer games and gymnastics meets each year. The majority of the routines the Tiger Paws perform are hip hop and jazz. Tiger Paws also participate in various community activities in and around the Auburn/Opelika area, such as visits to elementary schools and retirement centers.
The Tiger Paws practice two to two and half hours five days a week plus three gym training session each week during the fall and spring semesters. Additional practices are held during the summer and may be held during the holiday breaks when classes are not in session. Members of the Tiger Paws can be involved in organizations on Auburn's campus, as long as they realize the time commitment involved with being a Tiger Paw.
The Tiger Paws do not receive scholarships. The Tiger Paws receive a book stipend every year and it is different every year. This year each girl has received a total of $2,000.00.
