April 23: Semifinals and Finals - Check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m.
- All events will be held in Neville Arena. Please enter through the Scholarship Entrance.
- You must complete this registration form by Wednesday, April 15.
- ALL EVENTS ARE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.
TRYOUT REQUIREMENTS
- ALL current college-age candidates must be enrolled as a full time Auburn University student for the 2026 Spring semester and have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.
- High school seniors and transfer students may try out if they have been accepted to Auburn University for the Fall 2026 semester.
- GPA verification form linked separately via google doc for current Auburn University students only.
- NO video entries accepted. In person tryout only.
- Every candidate MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ITEMS WITH THEM TO CHECK-IN ON APRIL 22:
- 5x7 current headshot
- GPA verification from Dean's office or the Registrar's Office in a sealed envelope (for current Auburn Students) OR copy of your official acceptance letter from Auburn University Registrar's Office (high school senior/transfer student)
- $100 tryout fee - CASH ONLY
TRYOUT PROCESS
- Candidates will perform a one minute jazz solo as well as a sideline for Round 1 of auditions on the morning of April 22nd. An email will be sent out with instructions on how to upload your solo music. Required technical elements for your jazz solo are as follows- triple turn (right side), 5 turns in second (right side), aerial (right or left), grand jete (right or left), grand battement (right side), and any other skills you would like to show the judges.
- There will be a cut after Round 1 and an invitation to semi-finals will be announced. If you make the semi-finals, you will be invited to the mandatory clinic on the evening of April 22nd. At the clinic, you will learn a hip hop, pom, and sideline routine.
- The routines will have technique and tricks. Potential technique includes but is not limited to the following: head spring, kip up, toe touch, leg extension, calypso, firebird, turning disc, and variations of turns.
- The sideline will consist of traditional cheer/pom movements and will be similar to what you see the Tiger Paws perform on the sidelines of football games.
- The pom routine will include pom style choreography and technique that you see the Tiger Paws perform at basketball timeouts or end zone dances at football.
- The hip hop routine will include hip hop choreography and tricks that you see the Tiger Paws perform at basketball timeouts or end zone dances at football.
- On the morning of Thursday, April 23rd, the semi-final round will begin. The hip hop, pom, and sideline routines that you learned at the clinic will be performed in small groups in front of the panel of judges.
- There will be a cut and invitations to finals will be announced after the semi-final round.
- The final round of tryouts begins with a one-on-one interview with the judges. You will remain in your tryout attire/dance clothes for the interview. Call backs to perform the semi-final routines will be made as well.
- Call outs of the 2026-2027 Auburn University Tiger Paws will be at Cater Hall at approximately 5:00 pm. Exact time will be announced at the conclusion of tryouts. Call outs are the only part of try outs that are open to your friends and family. Attire for call outs is a cute dress, skirt and top, set, etc.

CLINIC ATTIRE:

- Fitted full length top or leotard- any color, design, or fabric
- BLACK boy shorts
- Jazz shoes or turner
- Tennis shoes/cheer shoes
- Poms will be provided
TIPS:
- Please bring plenty of snacks, food, and drinks with you to all arounds of tryouts. No one will be permitted to leave the Arena until you are either released from the tryout process or the tryouts conclude.
- Gameday hair and make-up should be worn for all rounds of the tryouts
- Bring a book, blanket, AirPods, etc- whatever keeps you comfortable- there will be lots of waiting.
- DOUBLE CHECK THE EMAIL YOU TYPE IN BECAUSE THAT WILL BE USED FOR ALL COMMUNICATION.
