Auburn hosts Alabama at the Birmingham CrossPlex for their annual dual meet on January 10, 2025! Auburn fans will sit near the homestretch of the track while Alabama fans make up the backstretch.

Tickets: $5 per spectator

  • All seating is general admission, first come first serve and everyone will need a ticket regardless of age.
  • Ticket purchasers will be sent a digital ticket that must be downloaded into your digital wallet. Screenshots will NOT be accepted.
  • Ticket purchasers must validate their downloaded ticket in the CrossPlex's main lobby, then will be provided a wristband for access into the meet.

Harvey Glance

Harvey Glance

Harvey Glance, Auburn University’s greatest sprinter and its first Black head coach. Three-time Olympian and 1976 Olympic gold medalist, Glance was a four-time NCAA champion at Auburn (1976–79), setting world and junior records in the 100 meters. A Phenix City, Alabama native, he won 14 SEC titles and helped Auburn claim four conference championships under coach Mel Rosen.

Internationally, Glance earned gold and silver medals at major events, including the Pan American Games, World Championships, and the Olympics. He also coached U.S. teams at prestigious global competitions, leading athletes to numerous medals. After serving as Auburn's head coach, he led the University of Alabama's track program (1997–2011) and coached Olympic gold medalist Kirani James. Inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 1996, Glance received the Congressional Gold Medal of Freedom in 2008, leaving a lasting legacy in track and field.
