The No. 37 Auburn Tigers (9-7, 3-5 SEC) fell to No. 3 Florida (15-1, 6-1 SEC), 7-0 on Sunday. The match was the third straight loss for AU.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>

"<?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Florida is an outstanding team who deserves a lot of credit," head coach Tim Gray said. "We struggled today, and you can't do that against the third ranked team in the country."

In doubles action, Alex Haney and Melissa Koning had their five match win streak snapped as the duo lost to Borsanyi and Srebrovic, 8-1. At the No. 2 spot, Whitney Chappell and Fani Chifchieva fell to No. 59 Benik and Suvak, 8-3, while Kelly Adams and Jil Hastenrath dropped their match, 8-2 to Frangulyan and Revzina.

Trailing 1-0, the Tigers were unable to turn the momentum in their favor. At the No. 2 position, Haney had her 10 match win streak snapped by No. 82 Nina Suvak, 1-6, 7-6(4), 1-0 (10-7). At the No. 1 spot, No. 30 Chifchieva dropped her match to No. 39 Diana Srebrovic, 6-2, 6-2. After dropping matches at the third, fourth and sixth positions, Chappell was the Auburn's last hope for a victory, but fell 6-4, 7-5.

The Tigers will next be in action as it hosts Arkansas on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Auburn Intramural Courts.
