AUBURN - A total of 30 Auburn student-athletes have been named to the 2006-07 Southeastern Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll, it was announced Tuesday by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive.
The 2006-07 SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2006 Summer and Fall and 2007 Winter terms.
Women's swimming and diving had the most athletes earn SEC Academic Honor Roll distinctions with 11. The include Anne Amardeilh (Hotel & Restaurant Management), Adrienne Binder (Criminology), Katherine Caldwell (Wildlife), Kara Denby (Zoology), Emile Ewing (Wireless Engineering), Corey Gerlach (Pre-Graphic Design), Chelsea Haser (International Business), Kristen Hastrup (Biomedical Sciences), Alicia Jensen (Marketing), Lynnsey Segraves (Sociology) and Julie Stupp (Mass Communication).
The gymnastics team was honored with 10 selections. They are Nicole Barnett (Biomedical Sciences), Julie Dwyer (Accountancy), Kayla Gies (Pre-Medicine), Aimee Goheen (Adult Education), Alicia Lenkiewicz (Pre-Pharmacy), A.J. Mills (Marketing), Karmen Pinckney (Elementary Education), Lindsey Puckett (Business Administration), Claire Seiffert (Communication) and Jackie Smith (Fine Arts).
Men's swimming and diving was next with five athletes selected. Scott Morgan (Building Science), Sean Osborne (Computer Engineering), John Scott (Biomedical Sciences), Steven Segerlin (Building Science) and John Snyder (Civil Engineering) were honored by the SEC.
The men's and women's basketball teams combined for four selections. Drew Smith (Pre-Medicine) was honored from the men's team while DeWanna Bonner (Undeclared Liberal Arts), Alexis Ogubie (Early Childhood Education) and Juanitta Wallace (Information Systems Management) were selected from the women's team.
