TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Auburn men's tennis team placed two players in the semifinals of their respective divisions Sunday as the Florida State Seminole Invitational came to a close.
Lukas Marsoun, playing in the B Division, lost his semifinal matchup against Columbia's Jonathan Wong, 6-0, 6-3. Wong eventually lost to South Alabama's R.J. Nagel in the division finals.
Also advancing to a semifinal match was Hunter Mills in the B Division Consolation bracket. He defeated South Alabama's Aaron Krisan, 6-4, 6-4 to advance to a semifinal matchup with Florida State's Bobby Deye.
Deye defeated Mills, 6-0, 6-0 to advance to the bracket finals.
On the other end of the bracket, Florida's Geoff Barton defeated Nick Maurillo in the quarterfinals, 6-2, 6-2. Barton and Deye were eventually named co-champions of the consolation bracket.
The Auburn men's tennis team returns to action Nov. 9-11 at the Arizona State Thunderbird Classic in Tempe, Ariz.
