TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Auburn doubles team of Lukas Marsoun and Alex Stamchev advanced to the "A" bracket finals Sunday at the Florida State Seminole Invitational. The pair will play for the title Monday morning at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
After defeating Mississippi State's Antonio Lastre and Chris Doerr on Saturday, the duo returned to action Sunday with an 8-4 win over Florida's Jeff Dadamo and Tyler Hochwalt. The Tigers kept rolling in the semifinals, downing Miami's Carl Sundberg and Hector Nieto, 9-7.
Marsouna nd Stamchev will take on Louisville's Austen and Simon Childs in Monday's final.
Auburn's Nick Maurillo was also in action Sunday, playing in the second round of the singles bracket. Maurillo faced Florida's Carlos Cueto, but fell 6-0, 6-1 in the match.
