AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn men's tennis team members Tim Puetz and Alex Stamchev moved on in qualifying singles on day two at the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.
Sophomore Stamchev opened the day with a two-set win over Ohio State's Matt Allare, 6-3, 7-6, while junior Puetz defeated Luca Barlocchi from UNLV (6-1, 6-0). With the wins, the duo advances to round three of qualifying singles.
On Wednesday, Stamchev is set to take on Ryan Lipman of Vanderbuilt and Puetz faces Oklahoma's Costin Pavel.
