As a Junior
Fall 2009: Finished the fall season with an 11-4 mark in singles competition ... Won the 2009 Wilson/ITA Southern Regional, finishing 6-0 at the tournament ... With the win, qualified for the ITA Indoor Championships ... Picked up a win over Iva Salec of Radford at the ITA All-American Championships ... Competed with Alex Stamchev in doubles and compiled an 11-2 mark ... Won the 2009 Wilson/ITA Southern Regional title after finishing a perfect 3-0 during the tournament ... Competed at the 2009 ITA Indoor Championships, picking up a win over Diego Cubas and Ivan Machado of South Carolina ... Spring 2009: Earned All-America honors after reaching the semifinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship with partner Alexey Tsyrenov ... The duo finished the season as the No. 6 pair in the ITA rankings ... Selected for the All-SEC Second Team ... Posted an 18-5 record in singles action during dual competition and was 21-8 overall ... Competed at the No. 1 spot for Auburn in two matches ... Started the spring season with a nine-match win streak ... Won 12 of his first 13 match-ups of the season ... Defeated three of the ten ranked opponents he faced ... Highlighting the dual season was his two-set win over No. 58 Clint Bowles of Florida State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament ... Spring 2008: Named to the All-SEC Second Team and the All-SEC Freshman Team ... Honored as SEC Freshman of the Week on Feb. 19, 2008 ... Finished the season ranked 74th in the nation by the ITA and 20th in the Southeast Region ... In his first season as a Tiger, Puetz put together a team-best record of 18-7, including a 16-6 mark in dual matches ... Posted a 6-5 record in SEC play ... Defeated seven ranked opponents, including No. 68 Steven Forman of Wake Forest in the first round of the NCAA Tournament ... Won nine consecutive matches at one point in the season ... Had back-to-back match-clinching victories against Brown and No. 24 Oklahoma State ... Went 13-11 in doubles play, competing mostly with Lukas Marsoun (9-9) in the No. 2 position ... Puetz and Marsoun won six matches in a row, including an impressive 8-6 victory over then-No. 15 Arnau Brugues and Ricardo Soriano of Tulsa ...
