45 Auburn Student-Athletes Graduate In 2012 Spring Term

AUBURN--A total of 45 Auburn student-athletes graduated as part of the Auburn University Spring 2012 graduating class. The graduates represent 16 of Auburn's sports programs, including six from equestrian, five from football, four each from softball, men's golf, gymnastics, women's swimming and diving, three each from baseball, soccer, men's track and field, two each from men's swimming and diving and women's golf, and one each from women's basketball, men's basketball, women's tennis, men's tennis and volleyball.

The six from equestrian include Mallory Campbell (Conyers, Ga.), Mary Casey (Oneonta, Ala.), Jillian Fuller (Monroeville, N.J.), Kelsey George (Suwanee, Ga.), Kristin Hansen (Redding, Calif.) and Maggie McAlary (Amherst, N.H.).

The five graduates from football include Drew Cole (Picayune, Miss.), Jared Cooper (Brewton, Ala.), Chris Humphries (Somerville, Ala.), Brad Lester (Lilburn, Ga.) and Dustin Norris (Auburn, Ala.).

The four from softball are Angelique Bunner (Fairless Hills, Pa.), Jenee Loree (Jupiter, Fla.), Lauren Schmalz (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) and Kyndall White (Pinson, Ala.).

The four from men's golf are Rosson Anderson (Birmingham, Ala.), Blayne Barber (Lake City, Fla.), Cory Gilmer (Birmingham, Ala.) and Kyle Kopsick (Chicago, Ill.).

The four from gymnastics are Lauren Brzostowski (York, Pa.), Laura Lane (Glen Allen, Va.), Rachel Inniss (Rio Rancho, N.M.), Leah Vining (Woodstock, Ga.).

The four from women's swimming and diving are Anna Aguero (Moultrie, Ga.), Vennie Dantin (Conroe, Texas), Micah Martindale (Shreveport, La.) and Kelsey Winters (Savannah, Ga.).

The three from baseball are Justin Bryant (Remlap, Ala.), Wes Gilmer (Pinson, Ala.) and Cory Luckie (Prattville, Ala.).

The three from soccer include Mary Nicholson (Birmingham, Ala.), Sammy Towne (Royal Palm Beach, Fla.) and Lydia Townsend (Enterprise, Ala.).

The three from men's track and field are Neil Danville (Alpharetta, Ga.), Joby Peake (Macon, Ga.) and Marcus Rowland (Spartanburg, S.C.).

Drew Modrov (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Max Murphy (Flower Mound, Texas) represented men's swimming and diving while Patricia Sanz (Madrid, Spain) and Haley Wilson (Fort Mitchell, Ala.) are from women's golf.

The other graduates included Morgan Jennings (Atlanta, Ga.) from women's basketball, and Adrian Forbes (Spanish Town, Jamaica) from men's basketball, Alex Stamchev (Pleven, Bulgaria) from men's tennis and Taylor Schreimann (Dallas, Texas) from women's tennis, and Christina Solverson (Tuscon, Ariz.) from volleyball.

There were nine All-Americans, four SEC Champions, 10 All-SEC members, one Freshman All-SEC, two All-SEC Tournament team selections, one Walker Cup, one Palmer Cup, two SEC Scholar-Athletes of the Year, eight SEC Academic Honor Roll selections, one SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll and one CoSIDA Academic All-District among the graduates.

The 45 graduates collectively hail from 16 states and four countries.
