TULSA, Okla. - Auburn tennis junior Daniel Cochrane dropped a tough three-set match in the first round of the qualifying singles draw at the ITA All-American Championships on Monday afternoon.
Cochrane fell to Oklahoma junior John Warden, 7-5, 2-6, 4-6, to end his stay in the singles event at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Cochrane will join senior Andreas Mies in the main doubles draw, which begins later in the week at the All-American Championships. The duo is ranked 24th nationally in the preseason ITA rankings. Mies, ranked 11th in the preseason singles rankings, will also play in the main singles draw beginning Thursday.
