ITA Southern Regional Day 1 Results 
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Auburn men's tennis team advanced four players to the second round of the ITA Southern Regional singles draw Thursday in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Seniors Dennis Lengsfeld, Daniel Cochrane, junior Lukas Ollert and freshman Dante Saleh all won their second round singles matches after first round byes to open the regional and continue the quest at being crowned southern regional champion.
Ollert and Cochrane, who were both seeded coming into their matches, won easily in straight sets to move on to Friday's play. Ollert, the six-seed, defeated South Alabama's Shayanna Vaezzadeh, 6-2, 6-2, for his fourth win of the year and will go on to play Louisiana-Lafayette's Yates Johnson in the round of 32 starting at 10 a.m.
Cochrane, the eight-seed and 105th in the nation in singles, topped LSU's Harrison Kennedy, 6-2, 5-5, after Kennedy had to retire from an apparent injury. The England-native will take his 4-2 fall singles record and face Hunter Johnson of Louisiana-Lafayette tomorrow at 10 a.m.
As for the other Auburn veteran in Lengsfeld, he also won in straight sets over Ole Miss' Zach Wilder, 6-2, 6-3, his second win this fall and he will go up against Boris Arias of LSU, who is coming off a three-set win earlier in the day.
Saleh tallied the fourth win of the day for the Tigers after defeating Jarred Wynan of Louisiana-Lafayette, 6-1, 6-4. The win is Saleh's third of the young fall season and puts him into the round of 32 to go up against Ole Miss' Stefan Lindmark at 11:30 a.m.
Auburn will get their first chance at doubles play tomorrow starting at 8:30 a.m., which will then be followed with singles play 10 a.m. Those players that win their singles round of 32 match tomorrow, will play their round of 16 match later in the day.
