AUBURN, Ala.
- Auburn men's tennis saw continued success on its home court Friday as the ITA Southern Regionals rolled through its second day of competition at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

Of the 16 teams competing in the tournament, Auburn had the most athletes advance into the singles round of 16 with four, and quarterfinal round with three. The Tigers began the day with doubles partners senior Lukas Ollert and junior Marko Krickovic, as well as junior Joseph Van Dooren and sophomore Maxime Hinnisdaels earning victories, putting them safely into the third round of the main draw in doubles.

"I was happy to see our doubles teams come back out and win today," head coach Eric Shore said. "Both these teams we put together for this tournament and they seem to be gelling fairly well and have good chemistry. I hope to see one if not both teams make a run at the final."

In singles play, Ollert and Krickovic continued to build momentum with neither player dropping a set so far through the first four rounds of action. For the day, Krickovic went 6-2, 6-4 in the round of 16 and 6-1 6-0 in the quarterfinals. The top-seeded Ollert followed suit going 6-4, 6-1 and 6-4, 6-2.

It was a longer day of work for Hinnisdaels, who defeated Alabama's Becker O'Shaughnessey 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 in his morning match and had an impressive come-from-behind victory against Mississippi State's Juan Cruz Estevarena in his afternoon match 1-6, 6-4, 6-4.

"Max pulled it out today, I'll give him credit for that," Shore said. "As a team we're still working on showing up and playing every point. We're not there yet, but I think our guys are seeing that's what we have to do to be successful."
