AUBURN, Ala.
- Auburn senior Lukas Ollert fell in his first match of the consolation round to end his run at the USTA/ITA National Indoors Tournament on Friday.

Ollert fell to two-seed and No. 4 overall ranked Julian Lenz of Baylor, dropping the match 6-3, 6-3.

"Lukas had a tough tournament," Auburn assistant coach Martin Stiegwardt said. "He played better today than he did yesterday and put himself in a position to win, but he missed a couple of key shots. He needs to learn his limits in the big points and make smarter decisions."

Ollert lost his first match of the tournament on Thursday to one-seed Sebastian Stiefelmeyer of Louisville by a score of 6-4, 6-3.

"I am happy with the way he competed at this tournament," Stiegwardt said. "Getting to this tournament is a really big accomplishment in his career."

The tennis team will return to action on January 18 when the team takes on The Citadel at the Yarborough Tennis Center.
