Columbus, Ohio - Auburn's 39th-ranked men's tennis team won the consolation title with a 4-1 victory over No. 47 Purdue Sunday in ITA Kickoff Weekend competition in Columbus, Ohio.

Auburn won the doubles point with victories by Max Hinnisdaels and Joseph Van Dooren 6-3 over Renan Hanayama and Arthur Dobradin at the second spot and by Lukas Ollert and Petar Tomic 6-4 over Purdue's Lucas Dages and Mateus Silva in the third position.

Wins in singles by Dante Saleh at No. 5 (6-3, 6-2 over Lucas Dages) and by Lukas Ollert (6-4, 6-4 over Ricky Medinilla) in the top position clinched the match for the Tigers. Marko Krickovic got the first singles point of the day with a 6-0, 6-4 win over Mateus Silva at No. 3. Max Hinnisdaels and Joseph Van Dooren were leading their matches when play concluded.

The Tigers, now 3-1, host Mercer for a pair of matches Saturday at the Yarbrough Tennis Center at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
