AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn baseball fell to Samford 7-0 on Tuesday at Plainsman Park.

The Tigers (13-4) finished the night with five hits and six errors, giving up three unearned runs. A strong outing from Samford's Parker Curry was enough to hold the Tigers scoreless. Curry (1-2) pitched eight innings with seven strikeouts and no walks, allowing five hits on 85 pitches.

Samford (5-8) started the game with two quick runs in the first off a bases-loaded walk and error to jump out to an early 2-0 lead. Auburn starter Kevin Davis (1-2) took the loss, giving up three runs and four walks while striking out four in three innings of work.

Auburn looked to catch up in the fourth with back-to-back hits from Anfernee Grier and Damon Haecker, but a double play ended the Tigers' chances in the frame.

Samford then tacked on three more runs against Auburn reliever Dalton Rentz in the fifth off a RBI single by Damon Walker and three Auburn errors which continued the inning.

Junior outfielder Jordan Ebert's single in the seventh to push his reached-base streak to 17 games. Kyler Deese and J.J. Shaffer added one hit apiece.
