AUBURN, Ala. -- Arkansas scored three runs in the ninth inning as Auburn baseball fell to the Razorbacks 10-7 on Friday at Plainsman Park.

"Our guys did a really good job at the plate," Golloway said. "You can't fault our guys at the plate, they fought back. I thought when we got the lead in the seventh inning we'd be in good shape with our bullpen and be able to finish the thing off.

"It's just a tough loss for Friday night, no doubt."

Auburn (18-12, 3-7 SEC) strung together four straight hits with the fourth a two-RBI double down the left field line by Blake Logan that tied the score at 2-2 in the third inning. Daniel Robert, Kyler Deese and Cody Nulph added RBIs as Auburn stretched its lead to 5-2.

The Tigers had previously fallen behind 2-0 in the top of the third on two doubles by Arkansas.

Arkansas (15-14, 4-6 SEC) rallied back with four runs in the top of the sixth including a pair of solo home runs by Joe Serrano and Andrew Benintendi to take a 6-5 lead.

Nulph delivered a bases loaded single and Austin Murphy followed with a walk as the Tigers moved back in front 7-6 in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Benintendi scored the tying run for the Razorbacks in the eighth on a RBI infield single from Tyler Spoon.

Spoon finished with three hits.

Auburn right-hander Cole Lipscomb took a no decision in his second SEC start. He allowed five runs on seven hits with two strikeouts. Trey Wingenter (1-4) took the loss out of the bullpen with four runs allowed in 2.2 innings pitched.

Wingenter and Justin Camp were charged with Arkansas' three ninth-inning runs.

Blake Logan had two hits and two RBIs and Kyler Deese was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Nulph added two runs driven in.

Zach Jackson (3-0) earned the victory for Arkansas with three innings of relief. He struck out five with four walks.

Auburn and Arkansas meet for game two of the series on Saturday at 6 p.m. The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
