Results vs. LSU 
AUBURN, Ala. - Senior Lukas Ollert had two big wins in doubles and singles in his final home match at Auburn but it was not enough as No. 25 LSU topped No. 46 Auburn 4-3 on Sunday at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.
With the match tied 3-3, LSU's Justin Butsch clinched the match with a three-set win over Dante Saleh.
"It was tough. I thought it was going to be our day and we were going to win this match," Auburn head coach Eric Shore said. "We played well in doubles and we got off to a good start in singles. I felt good about Dante Saleh in the last set, but it was not meant to be. We have to move on and be resilient. We have to get recover and get ready for next week."
Oliver Plaskett and Petar Tomic took down Chris Simpson and Justin Butsch 6-3 on court three in doubles play. Lukas Ollert and Marko Krickovic clinched the match for the Tigers with a 6-4 win over Jordan Daigle and Boris Arias.
The team honored lone senior Lukas Ollert between doubles and singles play. Ollert was presented with a plaque honoring his four years with team and then addressed the crowd, thanking them for their support. The senior was also joined by his mother, who flew from Munich, Germany for the match.
Lukas Ollert won Auburn's first singles match of the day, taking down 75th-ranked Jordan Daigle 6-2, 6-0 on court one in just under an hour. The win moves the senior into the top 15 for most singles wins in a season.
"He (Ollert) was nails today. He was not going to be denied," Shore said. "It was a great job by him, but I wish we could have gotten the win for him on senior day."
After LSU took the singles matches at two and six, Maxime Hinnisdaels tied the match at three games apiece, beating Boris Arias 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 on court three.
Auburn's next matches are on the road next weekend at No. 43 Tennessee on Friday and at Kentucky on Sunday.
