Auburn at the USA Swimming Olympic Team Trials Day 3 Recap

Auburn had just three swims during Tuesday's action at the USA Swimming Olympic Team Trials in Omaha, Neb.

Jessica Merritt, an incoming freshman from Huntersville, N.C., swam the prelims of the women's 200-meter freestyle. She clocked a 2:04.70 in heat two, finishing 90th.

Current swimmers Zoe Thatcher and Ashley Neidign both swam in prelims of the 200-meter IM, with Thatcher placing 62nd (2:19.15) and Neidigh 66th (2:19.43).

Wednesday's prelims will include the men's 100-meter freestyle (Zach Apple, Colin Bone, Kyle Darmody, Zane Grothe), the women's 200-meter butterfly (Bailey Nero) and the men's 200-meter breaststroke (Tommy Brewer, Michael Duderstadt, Bryar Long). All prelims can be seen live on the NBC Sports Extra App and all finals sessions can be seen on NBC. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. CT and finals at 7 p.m.
