GAINESVILLE, Fla. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Making its second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, the No. 16 Auburn soccer team is ready to face a common foe in No. 9 Florida on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. at Donald R. Dizney Stadium.
The Tigers (16-6-0) reached the third round after securing a 4-1 win against UConn on Friday. Kristen Dodson, Bri Folds, Gianna Montini and Brooke Ramsier got on the scoresheet to guide the offense.
Casie Ramsier notched a career-high with three assists, while Dodson chimed in with two in the 90-minute tilt.
After tallying four points on the day, Dodson set a new Auburn record for most points in a single season. The junior now has 36, besting Tammy Waine's previous record of 35 set back in 2000.
The win also marked the 61st consecutive match that the Tigers have won when scoring at least three goals under head coach Karen Hoppa. Auburn is 97-1 all-time when racking up three-plus goals under the 18-year skipper.
The Gators (16-4-1) made it to the third round after defeating Wisconsin in overtime, 3-2, on Friday night.
Auburn and Florida have faced each other 24 times in series history, with the Gators holding a 16-7-1 advantage. The Tigers, however, took the most recent result in the all-time series.
Auburn won 3-0 earlier this season in a matchup that also took place in Gainesville. In that match, Dodson earned a brace, while Courtney Schell headed in the third goal as the Tigers won for the first time ever at Florida.
Tickets for Sunday's match are $7 for adults and $3 for children (12 and under), students and senior citizens.

The winner of Sunday's affair will move on to the NCAA Quarterfinals against either No.3 USC or Utah at a time and location to be determined.
Player to Watch: Casie Ramsier
Senior midfielder Casie Ramsier has been on her best run of form in her career - and it could not have come at a better time. Ramsier has amassed 16 points in her last five matches, including six goals and four assists. The Dallas, Texas native's impressive stretch goes back even further has she has notched at least one point in seven of her last eight matches, totaling 22 points over that span.
An Auburn Win WouldÃÆ'¢Ãƒ¢'¬¦
A win by Auburn would advance the Tigers to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the first time in program history. Auburn has reached the Sweet 16 the last two seasons, both of which currently rank as the farthest any Tiger team has made it. The Tigers could also set a program record for wins in a season with 17.

On Nov. 20, 2015, Auburn advanced to its first ever Sweet 16 appearance with a 3-2 win over Texas Tech in overtime. Logan Beal provided the heroics with the match-winner. Hannah Alspach and Taylor Troutman each registered a goal in the contest, while Kristen Dodson, Kala Faulkner, Casie Ramsier and Samantha Solaru tallied an assist to send the Tigers to victory.
