Auburn vs. Arkansas

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -- The second-seeded Auburn soccer team is set to take on third-seeded Arkansas in the SEC Tournament Semifinals. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. on Friday night with the match to be televised on the SEC Network.

The Tigers (14-5-0) are in search of their sixth SEC Tournament Championship berth. The last time Auburn made the final match of the annual postseason tournament was 2012, one year after they won their first conference tournament in 2011.

Casie Ramsier guided the team in the quarterfinal contest after scoring three times in a 3-1 win over Tennessee. The Dallas, Texas native's hat trick marked the first of its kind since 2011 and she was the first player to score three goals in one half since Tammy Waine in 2000.

Ashton Brock, Kristen Dodson, Bri Folds, Haley Gerken and Brooke Ramsier all tallied an assist in Auburn's opening win of the postseason.

Auburn and Arkansas (16-4-0) have dueled 23 times in series history with the Tigers holding a 15-6-2 edge. The matchup on Friday will be the first between the two sides at the SEC Tournament in Orange Beach.

In last month's tilt, Auburn emerged victorious by a score of 3-2 with all five goals coming in the second half. Dodson and the Ramsier duo took care of the scoring to send the Tigers to their sixth-consecutive SEC win, matching a program record.

The winner of tomorrow night's fixture will move onto the championship match on Sunday. Kickoff for that match is set for 3 p.m. and will be televised on ESPNU.

Player to Watch: Courtney Schell

Junior midfielder Courtney Schell has proven to be a key component to Auburn's midfield. Schell has done well defensively by shutting down opposing midfielders and retaining possession for the Tigers. The St. Augustine, Fla. native has 10 points this season by way of three goals and four assists. In the earlier 3-2 victory against Arkansas this season, Schell went the full 90 minutes and tallied one shot.

Inside the Series: Arkansas

The Tigers and Razorbacks have met 23 times, dating back to 1993. Auburn has amassed 41 goals during that span and has held Arkansas to one goal or fewer 15 times, including 13 of the last 15 matchups.

An Auburn Win Would...

A win by Auburn would give the Tigers a shot at the SEC Tournament Championship on Sunday. Auburn could play in the final match of the annual postseason tournament for the sixth time in program history.
