Auburn at Alabama Friday for Exhibition

AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The No. 3 Auburn equestrian team kicks off the spring slate of 2016-17 in Tuscaloosa as the Hunt Seat crew takes on Alabama in an exhibition meet Friday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m. CT.

LINEUP
Riding for the Tigers in Equitation Over Fences will be senior Abby Wagner, junior Caitlin Creel, sophomores Kennedy Knapic and Alex Ladove, and freshmen Becky Kozma and Anna Claire Smith.

Three Tigers in Creel, Kozma, and Ladove will also go on Equitation on the Flat for Auburn. Joining the trio will be sophomores Mackenzie Michaels, Casey Schmitz, and Hayley Iannotti.

2016 FALL RECAP
Auburn concluded the fall portion of the season with a 4-2 record and a 2-1 mark in SEC competition. Highlighting the season was the team's 9-9 tiebreaker win at home vs. No. 1 Texas A&M (Oct. 15) and the 13-5 victory over South Carolina (Nov. 18) to close out the fall.

Leading the Hunt Seat corps were seniors Tory Hoft and Ashley Foster. Hoft picked up a team-best six wins in Flat, while Foster finished the fall with six victories in Fences.

Sophomore Megan Rauh and freshman Kara Kaufmann led the team in Horsemanship, recording five wins apiece. Kaufmann enjoyed a successful start to her collegiate career and went undefeated in the event with a 5-0-1 mark.

Junior Alexa Rivard has a team-best four wins in Reining.

UP NEXT
The full Tiger squad returns to competition with a home meet vs. SEC rival Georgia. Auburn and the Bulldogs face off at 1 p.m. CT, Feb. 11, at the Auburn University Horse Center.
