"I thought Kaylee Carlson pitched well," said head coach Clint Myers. "In fact, our pitchers have been the best part of the trip so far. Offensively, we've got to do better. This is why we came [to Mexico] to learn what we need to spend some time on to get better."

KK Crocker, in her first career start, paced Auburn at the plate with a 2-for-2 performance and scored a run. Carlee Wallace was one of five Tigers to collect a hit after she smacked a double.

Kaylee Carlson went the distance in the circle and worked around nine hits, allowing two earned runs and racking up a strikeout, en route to her first win of the season.

The Huskers took the lead in the first inning on a RBI single up the middle with two outs.

Despite having chances in the first three stanzas, Auburn was kept off the scoreboard.

In the fourth, however, the Tigers took advantage of miscues and plated three to take a 3-1 lead.

Madi Gipson led off with a single and was moved over once Morgan Podany drew a walk. Crocker then beat out an infield single to load the bases with no outs. Alyssa Rivera pinch-hit and got the job done with a ground out that scored Gipson.

After Kasey Cooper drew an intentional walk to re-load the bases, Haley Fagan hit a ball to the shortstop who had an errant throw to second. The heads up baserunning of Cooper and Crocker gave the Tigers the lead as both crossed the plate on the play.

Nebraska followed up in the home half of the sixth with a run on three hits, but a double play from the combination of Carlson, Fagan and Kendall Veach thwarted any more damage and ended the inning.

Carlson and the defense held tough in the final inning and closed out the second victory of the season, 3-2.
