Feb. 22, 2017 AUBURN, Ala. - The No. 2 Auburn softball team is set to continue its homestand with six games, including five for the Tiger Invitational and one for the annual Pink Game, Feb. 23-26. The Tigers open with North Dakota Thursday night at 6 p.m.
Three games will be available on SEC Network+, including battles against UMass-Lowell and North Dakota (Feb. 24), as well as the Pink Game versus No. 13 James Madison (Feb. 26). All games involving Auburn will feature audio broadcasts, available on the official Auburn app and AuburnTigers.com.
Proceeds from the Sunday Pink Game will benefit the Cancer Center of East Alabama. Pink ribbons and shirts will be supplied to fans who arrive early, while supplies last. There will also be a silent auction for a chance to buy the game-worn jerseys by the Tigers.
Fans are also encouraged to bring canned food goods to the stadium as part of the season-long initiative to Strike Out Hunger.

Player to Watch: Kaylee Carlson
Junior pitcher Kaylee Carlson currently sits eighth in the nation in victories with five. Her win total also ranks second in the SEC. Carlson has recorded a win in her last five appearances, marking a first in her career. The Garden Grove, Calif. native is off to her best start record-wise since last season when she opened the campaign 13-0. Carlson touts a 0.88 ERA with 17 strikeouts thus far into 2017.
An Auburn Win Would...
A win by Auburn would give the Tigers a 10-game winning streak. Auburn has posted six 10-plus-game winning streaks since head coach Clint Myers took over in 2014.
Best Starts in Program History
The Tigers are off to a 9-1 start, matching the second-best record in program history through 10 games. Auburn has started 9-1 or better 11 times, including three seasons under head coach Clint Myers.
Top Attendance
The Tigers have posted three of the top four attended games in Jane B. Moore Field history already in 2017. A program record 2,420 people came for the doubleheader against Creighton and SIUE, Feb. 18. The contest versus Mercer saw 2,223 people through the gates, while Auburn's season opener had 2,057 people in attendance.
Streak's Alive
Haley Fagan and Carlee Wallace both bring impressive streaks into the weekend tournament. Fagan has tallied a hit in seven consecutive games, while reaching base safely in eight straight tilts. Wallace, who recently moved to the leadoff spot in the lineup, is the only player to have reached base safely in all 10 games thus far for the Tigers.
Leadoff and Loaded
As a team, Auburn has been the most dangerous when leading off an inning and when the bases are loaded. The Tigers boast a .431 batting clip when leading off an inning and a .353 average when the bases are full of Auburn players. The Tigers have racked up a leadoff hit 28 times in 2017.
On This Date...
On Feb. 23, 2011, Amber Harrison smacked a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth to propel Auburn to a 4-2 victory over Georgia State. The win marked the first time the Tigers have started a season 10-0. Angel Bunner and Lauren Schmalz split the seven-inning affair and totaled 10 strikeouts.
