AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The No. 5/7 Auburn softball team hits the road for a three-game series at No. 18/16 Georgia, March 31-April 2.

Friday's first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. and is available to be streamed on SEC Network+. Saturday's game, slated to begin at 6 p.m., is set to broadcast on ESPN with Beth Mowins, Amanda Scarborough and Michele Smith on the call. The trio will then call the series finale Sunday at 11 a.m. on the SEC Network.

All three duels this weekend are also available on local radio at 95.9 FM and on the official Auburn app. Brad Law will have the call from the booth for the SEC series.

The Tigers recently capped off a trip to Florida with a 1-0 win over the Gators. Kendall Veach provided the game's only run by way of a home run. Kaylee Carlson tossed a complete game shutout ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" her third of the season ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" en route to her 16th win of 2017.

With the win, head coach Clint Myers earned his 1,500th career victory. Myers amassed 887 wins at Central Arizona and 427 wins at Arizona State before picking up his 184th victory at Auburn Monday night.

Heading into the weekend series, the Tigers lead the nation in double plays with 24 and average 0.73 per game. The next closest teams are Campbell and UT Arlington, who each have 20 thus far in 2017.

Auburn also leads the SEC with 171 walks at the plate and ranks in the top three in ERA (1.32), walks allowed (53), earned runs allowed (40), home runs allowed (six) and runners picked off (two).

Following its three-game SEC series, the Tigers cap a 12-game road swing with a short trip to Birmingham, Ala. to face Samford, April 5 at 6 p.m.

Player to Watch: Victoria Draper

Junior outfielder Victoria Draper has fared well against Georgia in her career thus far. In four games versus the Bulldogs, the Moulton, Ala. native boasts a cool .375 average at the dish to go along with a .444 on-base percentage. Draper has also elevated her play in the month of March in 2017 as she touts a .382 average with 12 runs scored. The Tigers are 16-2 when Draper has at least one base knock this season.

Inside the Series: Georgia

The Tigers and Bulldogs have squared off 54 times in series history, with Georgia holding a 35-19 advantage overall. Since head coach Clint Myers took over in 2014, however, Auburn boasts a 5-2 record and has won the last five matchups.

A Series Win by Auburn Would...

A series win by Auburn would give the Tigers their second consecutive series win over Georgia and their sixth overall. The last time Auburn defeated Georgia in a series on the road came in 2001 when the Tigers outscored the Bulldogs 12-3 over a three-game span.

In the last three seasons, Auburn has put an emphasis on winning games away from home. Since 2015, the Tigers are 60-18 away from Jane B. Moore Field, good for a winning percentage of .769. Over that span, Auburn has amassed 600 hits, averaging 7.7 per game, and has scored 473 runs. The Tigers have also touted a .491 slugging clip by way of 103 doubles, 13 triples and 92 roundtrippers. In the circle, the pitching staff has totaled 290 strikeouts in 492.2 innings and allowed only 184 earned runs in that time frame to go along with 15 shutouts.
