  • Freshman infielder Conor Davis is batting .556 (5-for-9) with three doubles, one home run and four RBI. Davis' 3-run walk-off homer on Sunday vs. SC was Auburn's first walk-off HR since Opening Day 2013.
  • Auburn's 4-0 win over UAB on March 14 gave the Tigers their NCAA-leading seventh shutout.

Auburn leads the all-time series 68-21-1 including a 22-6 mark in Birmingham. The Tigers fell to Samford 7-6 on Feb. 28 at Plainsman Park.

LOOKING AHEAD

  • Auburn continues its season-long road swing with a three-game series at Tennessee. The Tigers and Vols square off in a SEC matchup beginning Thursday at 6 pm. Auburn is 90-38 all-time against the Vols including a 37-18 mark in Knoxville. The Tigers took the series at Plainsman Park last season and have won the last three series including seven of the last nine games. The Vols travel to ETSU on Tuesday.
  • Tennessee is hitting .288 as a team led by Jordan Rogers (.365) and Jeff Moberg (.355). Rodgers has four homers and 20 RBI, while Moberg has driven in 19 with six home runs.
  • On the mound, Hunter Martin leads the Vols with a 4-2 record and a 3.56 ERA in eight starts. Relievers Jon Lipinski (0.60) and Will Heflin (0.93) have been lights out in the bullpen.
