SERIES HISTORY

The Tigers defeated Georgia Tech 7-4 in Atlanta on March 21. Auburn is seeking its first season sweep of Georgia Tech since taking all four games in 1964. Tuesday's game will be the 232nd meeting all-time between the two longtime rivals. Auburn leads the all-time series 118-105-6, including 65-43-2 on the Plains. The two teams first met in 1897.

LOOKING AHEAD

  • Auburn takes to the road once again to face Texas A&M in College Station. The Tigers are playing their third-ever series at Blue Bell Park. Texas A&M leads 4-2 at Olsen Field since 2013. Texas A&M faces Dallas Baptist on Tuesday.
  • Freshman second baseman Braden Shewmake has been the catalyst for the Aggies in the first two months of 2017. Shewmake is batting a team-high .365 with 12 doubles, three homers and 34 RBI. He has also has two triples and eight steals.
  • On the mound, Brigham Hill is the current SEC Pitcher of the Week after scattering three hits in an eight-inning performance against LSU in Baton Rouge. He's 5-2 with a 2.60 ERA on the year.
