May 31, 2017 AKRON, Ohio - After capping a stellar career at Auburn, infielder Haley Fagan has signed a professional contract with the Akron Racers of National Pro Fastpitch (NPF).
Fagan becomes the fourth Tiger currently in the professional softball league, joining Angel Bunner (USSSA Pride), Emily Carosone (Chicago Bandits) and Jade Rhodes (Scrap Yard Dawgs).
In three years on the field at Auburn, Fagan produced a .323 batting average to go along with a .414 on-base percentage and a .556 slugging clip - which both rank in the top 10 in the program record books.
Fagan racked up 131 hits while on The Plains, including 23 home runs, 21 doubles and two triples. She also tallied 96 career RBI in the orange and blue.
The Dunnellon, Fla. native was part of the winningest senior class in program history that amassed 205 wins over the past four seasons. Fagan and her fellow seniors produced four of Auburn's seven all-time 40-plus-win seasons, including two campaigns with at least 50 wins.
Fagan and the Racers kick off the NPF season Thursday, June 1 at 7:05 p.m. CT against Carosone and the Bandits.
