AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn's home game vs. four-time national champion UConn will be televised on ESPN2 at 1:30 pm CT on Dec. 23, it was announced Thursday. The Huskies are only the fifth non-conference program with a NCAA Championship to play in Auburn, but the second in the last three seasons under head coach Bruce Pearl.

Auburn, which is ranked 24th nationally in ESPN's BPI preseason ratings, defeated UConn 70-67 in overtime in Hartford last year.

Other former NCAA Champions to play in Auburn are Oklahoma State in 2016; UNLV in 2004 and 1987; NC State in 1970 and 1931; and Marquette in 1995. Kentucky, Florida and Arkansas of the SEC are also former NCAA Champions.

The only other television games announced are for the 2017 Gildan Charleston (S.C.) Classic in which Auburn has a first round matchup with Indiana State on Nov. 16 on ESPNU at 10:30 am CT. The Tigers will then face either Temple or Old Dominion on Nov. 17 on ESPN2 or ESPNU. The final round game on Nov. 19 will be on ESPN2 or ESPNU vs. either Clemson, Dayton, Hofstra or Ohio.

Temple has made seven NCAA Tournament appearances in the last 10 years and a NIT while Old Dominion has reached the postseason in 11 of the last 13 years, advancing to the NIT semifinals in 2015 and playing in the 2010 and 2011 NCAA Tournaments.

Dayton has appeared in four-straight NCAA Tournaments, advancing to the Elite Eight in 2014, third round in 2015 and second round in each of the last two seasons. Clemson played in the NIT last season.

The remainder of Auburn's TV games will be selected at a later date.
