AUBURN, Ala. - The television networks and times for Auburn Basketball's 18-game SEC schedule for the 2017-18 season were announced by the league office on Wednesday.
The Tigers, who are ranked 24th nationally in ESPN's BPI preseason ratings, play host to both Kentucky and Texas A&M on ESPN2 at 8 pm CT against the Aggies on Feb. 7 and Wildcats on Feb. 14.
Of Auburn's nine league home games, six will start no later than 7:30 pm.
Auburn opens SEC play with three-straight games on ESPNU at Tennessee on Jan. 2 at 6 pm, vs. Arkansas on Jan. 6 at 5 pm and vs. Ole Miss on Jan. 9 at 8 pm.
Four of Auburn's next six games, all on the SEC Network, are on the road at Mississippi State Jan. 13 at 2:30 pm, at Alabama Jan. 17 at 6 pm, vs. Georgia Jan. 20 at 5 pm, at Missouri Jan. 24 at 8 pm, vs. LSU Jan. 27 at 5 pm and at Ole Miss Jan. 30 at 8 pm.
February opens with three of the first four games in Auburn Arena against Vanderbilt Feb. 3 on the SEC Network at 7:30 pm, Texas A&M Feb. 7 on ESPN2 at 8 pm, at Georgia Feb. 10 on the SEC Network at 2:30 pm and vs. Kentucky on Valentine's Day on ESPN2 at 8 pm.
The Tigers play South Carolina, which reached the Final Four last season, twice on the SEC Network at 2:30 pm in the last five regular season games beginning in Columbia on Feb. 17 and in Auburn on Senior Day Mar. 3.
Auburn's remaining games are televised by the SEC Network.
The South Carolina games bookend Alabama Feb. 21 at 7:30 pm in Auburn Arena and a difficult two-game road swing at Florida Feb. 24 at 7:30 pm and at Arkansas Feb. 27 at 8 pm.
The 58th SEC Tournament will be played west of the Mississippi River for the first time and in its most northern site in St. Louis, Mo., at the Scottrade Center Mar. 7-11. The SEC Network will televise the first three days while the semifinals and championship game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
Every conference game for all teams can be seen anywhere in the nation. The SEC Network will televise 69 games, ESPN or ESPN2 will televise 40 contests, ESPNU 11 and CBS Sports six. The SEC's games on ESPN platforms are exclusively branded as the "SEC on ESPN."
All of the games included in the ESPN package (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and SEC Network) will also be available through the ESPN app, which is accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider. Each of the CBS Sports games will be available to stream live in markets across the U.S. via the CBS All Access subscription service, with additional coverage on CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app.
The Tigers returned last month from an 11-day Italy Tour with a perfect 4-0 record, winning by an average of 46 points per game.
Twenty-six of the ESPN.com Top 100 recruits have signed with SEC schools and nine teams have top 31 recruiting classes. Auburn's incoming freshmen, Chuma Okeke and Davion Mitchell, are ranked 48th and 61st, respectively. Austin Wiley was a top 17 recruit before he enrolled in Auburn last December. Auburn's class is ranked 28th nationally and was ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation before Wiley enrolled.
The SEC is coming off a season where it posted an 11-5 record in the NCAA Tournament and had three teams advance to the Elite Eight. It marked the fifth time in the last seven years that the SEC had a team playing in the Final Four.
