AUBURN, Ala. - On the heels of a 4-1 start to the basketball season, the Tigers hit the road for their first true road game of the 2017-18 season when they travel to Dayton for a non-conference clash.

Rod Bramblett and Sonny Smith will have the radio call on 93.9 Tiger FM, online at www.AuburnTigers.com and on the TuneIn app. The game will also be broadcast on CBS Sports Network with Rich Waltz and Steve Lappas doing the commentating.

The Flyers lead the overall series 4-0 and have won the lone matchup between the programs at UD Arena. Auburn is 16-9 all-time against teams from the currently constructed Atlantic 10 and 1-5 in games played in Ohio all-time.

Under head coach Bruce Pearl, the Tigers are 2-1 in their first true road game of the season. Auburn defeated UAB 74-70 last season and Coastal Carolina 81-78 during the 2015-16 campaign. The Tigers' lone defeat came against Colorado in Coach Pearl's first season.

Auburn is 7-2 is games following a 100-point showing the previous contest since 2000. The Tigers put up 119 - tied for the fourth-highest total in single-game history - to defeat Winthrop last Saturday. After scoring 102 in the season opener versus Norfolk State, Auburn defeated Indiana State the following tilt.

Following its road matchup with Dayton, Auburn returns home for three consecutive games. The Tigers begin the longest homestand of the season against George Mason, Dec. 3.

Player to Watch: Mustapha Heron

Sophomore guard Mustapha Heron has gotten back to his form in the last two games for the Tigers. The Waterbury, Conn. native has contributed 53 points (26.5 per game) on 19-of-30 shooting from the field, including 3-of-8 from behind the arc, 14 rebounds and three steals. When Heron was on the court for 56 minutes in the last two games, the Tigers were +36 against Hofstra and Winthrop.

The Tigers and Flyers have dueled four times in series history with Dayton winning each matchup.

Auburn has averaged 64.0 points per game and allowed 81.0 points per game on the defensive end. The last two meetings were decided by 10 points or fewer.

An Auburn Win Would...

A win by the Tigers would improve their record to 5-1 to begin the season. Auburn has won five of its first six games in 38 times in its program history, dating back to the first season in 1905.

On This Date

On Nov. 29, 2003, Auburn recorded one of its biggest margins of victory in program history. The Tigers defeated Grambling State, 105-56, in Huntsville, Ala. The 49-point margin currently stands as the 16th-highest in the Auburn record books and the second-highest since 2000.

The Tigers are 7-3 on this date all-time, including last season's 90-83 victory over USC Upstate.

Young Roster

Auburn is tied with Kentucky with the most underclassmen in the nation with 12 on the roster and only one senior. The Tigers are one of just seven teams in the country to have 10 or more on their roster.
